This item is part of our “Consign for Charity” campaign with 60% of the profits going to New Hope for Women out of Rockland.
Have you ever wanted to help out local charities? Just not sure how to start? Twice Loved Boutique is making it easy!
First, you start by going through your closets and your children’s closets. Take out anything that is outgrown, no longer loved or you have too many of. Bring them in to Twice Loved Boutique and tell us you want to donate these to a Charity Account.
Charity Accounts are a new feature here at Twice Loved Boutique. If you’ve never heard of charity consignment accounts before, here’s how it works:
Items are brought into the store, and when they are inventoried, they are put in just like a regular consignment account, except instead of paying the profits to the person who brought the items in, the money is donated to the assigned Charity.
Our first charity account is assigned to New Hope For Women out of Rockland, Maine. New Hope For Women is an organization dedicated to helping victims of Domestic, dating, and elder abuse victims in Waldo, Knox and Lincoln counties. They have a 24 hour crisis hotline which can be reached at 1-800-522-3304 if you or someone you know is a victim of abuse and needs help.
If you have a current consignment account at Twice Loved Boutique and would like us to transfer any of your items over to the New Hope for Women account, or if you would like to donate items to be put on this account, please give us a call at 207-722-3519.
So it appears that our heating issues are back, and are not going to be fixed any time soon. Of course, this comes after a whole month of preparing to open back up, just to have another week of delays due to illness.
After a lot of thinking and debating and weighing options, we have decided that the best option for Twice Loved Boutique is to remain closed until warmer weather arrives, with a tentative date of May 1st. We were closed all of last winter for other reasons (one of those will be turning a year old in a few months!) and opening back in May and celebrating with an anniversary event worked out really well for us!
Our loyal customers understood the break, as I am sure you all will continue to understand, and you were right there celebrating with us for our 1st Anniversary/ReOpening celebration! Over our second year, even with the current economical state, our sales were up about 25% from our first year! I am confident that this business will continue to grow and gain even more amazing customers, even when we have to close for the winter.
I will continue to be available by request if you are in need of something you can call ahead and set up a time and I’ll make sure I am available to help you out, some customers have already taken advantage of this and I hope more of you do. The number to call is 207-722-3519, if there’s no answer, just leave a message and I’ll get back to you!
Thank you all for understanding the difficulties we are having, and for remaining loyal through these tough times. We will see you again in the spring (or sooner if you come visit us this weekend at the Mount View Elementary PTC Baby Fair!
