The papers have been signed, the deposit has been paid, plans are being finalized, so now it’s time to announce that WE ARE MOVING TO BELFAST!
We will be located on Lincolnville Ave., across from Hannaford, between Family Dollar and Dirigo Glass!
We will be moving in during May and plan to have our Grand Opening the weekend of May 29th and 30th (so long as things go as planned).
If you’ve provided us with your mailing address in the past, be on the look out for a post card next month, with a special offer on it!
We will be adding some great new items with our opening as well! We will have a selection of brand new, fun, children’s items from Barefoot Books, and for the ladies, we will be adding a cosmetics line called Mineralicious! – We are one of only a handful of places in Maine that you can get Mineralicious! products, and quite likely the only place that keeps a selection on hand.
On top of the great items we are working on adding, we have also added a new Charity Consignment account! In addition to the account set up for New Hope for Women, you can now consign on behalf of Tenth Life Cat Rescue!
We have been working hard to prepare for the Grand Opening, and can’t wait to start getting set up and ready to go!
If you are interested in having some items on consignment, in time for our Grand Opening, please give us a call at 207-722-3519 or email consign@twicelovedboutique.com and we will set up an appointment for you to bring your items in to be looked at.
Now, I need to get back to working on inventory… these things won’t tag themselves, now will they?!?
On Sunday February 14th, Sonny Bailey passed away very unexpectdly leaving behind his wife Donna, his 3 children Rebecca Furrow, Michael Bailey, and Janie Gerrish, along with 7 grandchildren. Sonny and Donna spent several years working side by side at their dairy farm in Montville, Maine to provided for there family. Sonny was known for being being a hard worker and never giving up on anything…true determination. And Sonny was always there to lend a hand for anyone in need. So now, it is the Bailey’s time of need. A great time for the community to rally together and help them out.
On February 28th at Unity Elementary School there will be a potluck dinner for Sonny. Donations at the door will be accepted along with please bring a dish to share. Raffle items will be available along with a 50/50 raffle. The start time is at approx 11:00 a.m. It would be great to see everyone come and bring some stories to share throughout the day of Sonny. He was very well known for his sense of humor and his ability for a great conversation, and answering “Poorman” whenever anyone would call him.
He will be sadly missed by all those that knew him.
Twice Loved Boutique is donating two Gift Certificates to be raffled off at this event.

If you’re getting the bug to do any of that Post-Holiday, Pre-Spring Cleaning, let us help!
We are preparing some updates for our store for our upcoming re-opening in May, including the addition of MORE racks (increased selling space and more specific organization to make shopping even easier for our awesome customers!). We are looking for fresh items to add to our inventory, new consignment accounts to be a bit more specific. Now typically our consignment accounts run for about 90 days (3 months from the date you bring your items in) but because we are closed for the time being, new accounts (and any items that have been brought in since November) will be extended, to begin on May 1st when we re-open, and will end August 1st, just in time to refresh for back to school and cooler weather sales!
Items we are looking for on Consignment for the summer:
- Girls and Boys school clothes
- Mens clothing of all sizes
- Maternity clothing
- Shoes
- Vintage and unique pieces
We may be looking for more as the time to re-open approaches, and we will know more once we have finished taking inventory and all of that business, so stay tuned
We also receive questions from people occasionally about whether or not we take donations. The answer is YES, of course we do! We will take nearly anything, but hope that our wonderful suppliers will take into consideration current fashions and things people most likely just will not want. Keep it clean and neat and no bags please!
So it appears that our heating issues are back, and are not going to be fixed any time soon. Of course, this comes after a whole month of preparing to open back up, just to have another week of delays due to illness.
After a lot of thinking and debating and weighing options, we have decided that the best option for Twice Loved Boutique is to remain closed until warmer weather arrives, with a tentative date of May 1st. We were closed all of last winter for other reasons (one of those will be turning a year old in a few months!) and opening back in May and celebrating with an anniversary event worked out really well for us!
Our loyal customers understood the break, as I am sure you all will continue to understand, and you were right there celebrating with us for our 1st Anniversary/ReOpening celebration! Over our second year, even with the current economical state, our sales were up about 25% from our first year! I am confident that this business will continue to grow and gain even more amazing customers, even when we have to close for the winter.
I will continue to be available by request if you are in need of something you can call ahead and set up a time and I’ll make sure I am available to help you out, some customers have already taken advantage of this and I hope more of you do. The number to call is 207-722-3519, if there’s no answer, just leave a message and I’ll get back to you!
Thank you all for understanding the difficulties we are having, and for remaining loyal through these tough times. We will see you again in the spring (or sooner if you come visit us this weekend at the Mount View Elementary PTC Baby Fair!
