Belfast — Two years after Jessica Wellman, a stay at home mother of three, opened a resale store from her garage in Brooks, she moved the store to Belfast. A year later, in preparing to celebrate their third full year in business, Wellman and her employee Hailey Geaghan discussed ways to give back to the community that has supported the store.
“We questioned our followers on Facebook about which local organizations they felt were worthy of receiving funds, and compiled a list of 6 different groups that we will be raising money for through our Anniversary Celebration week,” said Wellman, in a press release.
Twice Loved Boutique will have their annual Anniversary Celebration the week of May 30 through June 4 and will donate 10 percent of each day’s sales to the following organizations: TenthLife Cat Rescue (May 30), Waldo County Humane Society (May 31), Marsh River Theater (June 1), FUTURE MSAD #3 (June 2), Brooks Park Boosters (June 3) and finally on June 4, they will be holding a bag sale at their store on Lincolnville Avenue.
Similar to the bag sale held in October to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness, however this bag sale will raise funds for New Hope for Women. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. and will continue until 6 p.m. when the store closes, or until everything is sold, whichever comes first. Customers will be provided with empty shopping bags and a wide selection of specially chosen items to choose from. Customers will pick what they want from these items and pay just $10 per bag.
