Brick Red, Blue and White Sweater
Look in the back of your dresser or closet… no, not to your stained jeans you like to wear around the house but never in public… past those, to the old sweaters and scarves your great aunt and grandmother like to pick out for you, especially at holidays.
Our Etsy shop was created to help us display some items that we have Repurposed and created from items donated to the store that we just couldn’t resell in “as-is” condition.

Velour Like Pink/Orange Sweater
We have a lot of these Sweaters and other items that people just don’t want, they aren’t anything we believe will sell, so what to do with them? We hate just throwing ANYTHING out, so what is there to do with these things people just don’t want?!?!
We are picking some of the best looking materials, unraveling the sweater/scarf/etc. And reselling the yarn!
The photos in this blog entry display some of our yarns in their “original to us” state, as hideous sweaters no one will buy.
Yes, I know this site has changed a lot since it first began nearly 2 years ago, blame that partly on my complete inability to settle on something, and partly on the ever changing business I have!
I started on selling on Ebay, bought this domain when I started selling on other auction sites, and then it became an informative website about my store, then an Online Store, and now a blog about my store! It’s great though, it really is, all of these changes, it just keeps getting better!
I can’t say too much, don’t want to jinx myself, but the store itself could potentially be undergoing some changes, big ones at that. I will announce the details of that, if and when they are confirmed. In the meantime we could use all the positive energy you can spare to help ensure things work out for us!
I have decided that for our Web Presence, we will be sticking to Blogging, and the social networks I mentioned in a previous post. I HATE dealing with the shipping of clothes, I really do. Trying to find a reasonable shipping rate that doesn’t seem completely outrageous to someone buying a small article of clothing, it’s just difficult and frustrating!
Our Etsy store will remain open, I can handle the shipping of just small items every now and then, but primarily our business will be found at our physical location in Brooks, Maine.
This store has come a LONG way since May 2008 when we officially opened our doors, and I am so pleased every day with how it is turning out. I have met some wonderful people through this store and I hope to continue to meet more! It has been a huge learning process and I couldn’t be happier with how any of it has turned out. I hope all of the changes in our future will continue to be positive ones, and that this store will continue to grow and be successful!
We just closed out a very large Consignment Account, so over the next couple of weeks we will be adding a lot of new items to the sales floor… Very nice stuff, I’ll try to post some pictures of everything very soon!
Also on the agenda… Halloween is just about 6 weeks away, so it’s time to break out the Halloween Costumes! We have a few out already with more in Storage that we will get out as soon as possible.
